Who am I?

I am a fanfiction writer and lover of words, some of which I can even spell correctly. I am a mom and a wife, I have a degree in English Literature, I prefer tea over coffee, and I have a lovely cat named Virgil.

What do you like to write?
I like character-driven stories, often exploring the more uncomfortable aspects of humanity. But I do appreciate the value of hope.What is your favorite book?
Les Miserables by Victor Hugo.When do you write?
I'd prefer to write in the morning, after a cup of tea. The world is quiet and reflective. However rarely do I get this time, so I write during the day if I'm off work, or at night.What makes a great story?
One that echoes its themes and motifs not just in its plot, but in its characters and the way its written. Style is very important. The right description for a feeling or moment is everything.As a writer, what would you choose as your mascot/avatar/spirit animal?
A combination of an octopus (for the many dexterous tentacles for typing) and the spirit of T. S. Eliot.
